At the beginning.. Selling my toys out of my trunk at Inwood farmers marked 2012 Alright! I'm an artist trying to make a living doing what i love the most: making weird things! In order to do this I have to step into territories i fear a lot, like (shriek): selling and (ngh) planning. So far I have sold at markets. I love selling my creatures at markets. I love meeting the people who buys what I have put a lot of love and time into making. I love hearing their stories, seeing them pick out their monstrous soul mate. I love all the feed back and ideas my costumers come with. I also sell at my favorite neighborhood cafe in Washington heights, Buunni. (213 Pinehurst) But now its time to get serious! New York is full of amazing artisan stores, with eccentric beautifully crafted work by local designers. I cant believe how many talented people live in this city. I'm so inspired! I'm going to figure out everything these busyness savvy artists know. I'm so ready to sell in stores! My work is my life, and my life is certainly not a hobby. This blog is going to be my log book. Hopefully i find out things along the way to share with others who in the future find themselves where I am now. |
